- The Classic Volunteer Program is an 8–14 day volunteer experience in Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18–50. It’s designed for those who want to do something meaningful — to help where help is needed, connect with Israeli communities, and experience the country through hands-on service.
- You’ll volunteer 4–6 hours a day in areas like agriculture, food distribution, and logistics, supporting recovery and resilience across Israel. Along the way, you’ll live with your group, share moments, and take part in cultural programming that helps you understand the bigger picture.
- Whether you’ve been to Israel before or this is your first time, this program offers something different: a way to give back, to connect, and to be part of something real.
It starts before the work — with the feeling that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Waking up with purpose. Working side by side with people who care. Ending your day knowing you’ve done something that matters…
No two days are the same — but there’s a rhythm.
In the mornings, you’ll take part in meaningful service work: supporting farms, packing aid, or helping in logistics centers. The work is hands-on, impactful, and guided by local needs. Afternoons are yours — to rest, explore, or spend time with your group. Evenings bring shared meals, spontaneous adventures, or quiet reflection under the stars.
This isn’t a tour. It’s real life — and you’re a part of it.
Participants come from across the globe: young Jewish adults ages 18 to 50, each bringing their own story and reason for being here. Some are visiting Israel for the first time. Others are returning with a new sense of purpose.
You’ll also meet Israeli peers and staff who work alongside you — creating real friendships and deep, cross-cultural connections. The relationships you build are just as powerful as the work you do.
As a volunteer in Israel, your contribution is real and immediate. Previous groups have:
-
Packed thousands of food boxes for displaced families
-
Restored farmland abandoned due to conflict
-
Helped logistics teams deliver emergency supplies
-
Supported community centers and NGOs across the country
You may not always see the final result — but your work fills real gaps and supports real people. And often, the biggest transformation happens in you.
You’ll get a list of what to pack once you’re registered. But here’s what matters just as much:
-
Flexibility — things change, and you’ll grow through it
-
Openness — to people, stories, and emotions
-
Curiosity — to ask questions, explore, and learn
-
Team spirit — because you’re in this together
-
A full heart — to give, and to take it all in
After your short-term volunteer trip to Israel, life won’t just go back to normal.
Many participants stay connected — to their group, to the land, and to the sense of meaning they found. Some return to volunteer again. Others take what they’ve experienced and use it to fuel involvement in their local Jewish communities or careers in service.
You’ll leave with more than memories. You’ll leave with momentum.
